My name is Miles D Fonda and I am an optimistic, 1/16th Native American white man, who is 20-something, and lives in Western NY with my fantastically gorgeous wife and I do graphic design.
Graphic design is kind of a convoluted, muddled field ( probably exponentially related to the number of art professors who ask the question “what is art?” ), so to be more specific my current vocation is Web Design/ Development mostly using the CMS WordPress – into which neatly fits my training in SEO, and leaves me starving to be doing Logo design, Poster Design, Business Card Design, CD Artwork Design, and Identity Design which I also get to do from time to time.
In case you are wondering – which you aren’t – (because a college diploma for a designer is just a really expensive piece of paper that nobody ever asks about ) I graduated from The State University of Buffalo in “Communication Design” with some Latin word after my name. I distinctly remember making a sculpture out of carrots while there. It was awesome.
So I am a graphic designer, but in my spare time I consider myself a world shaking fiction writer, editorialist, songwriter, philosopher, comedian, painter, musician, inventor, christian apologist and witty satirist. Im pretty sure that currently 90% of these labels only apply to me within 7 separate, alternate space-time realities of this one. But I did say I am an optimist, so maybe this site will provide the motivation for those 7 separate, alternate space-time realities to fuse into one and I will become “Super me” in which case I could actually claim to be a world shaking fiction writer, editorialist, songwriter, philosopher, comedian, painter, musician, inventor, christian apologist and witty satirist AND confused, muddled graphic designer.
So, if you have managed to get through this, it means three things.
- You have an advanced level of humor, intelligence, and innovation which I also claim to possess.
- You probably assume I am mentally imbalanced in some way- as Dwight K Shrute would say- FALSE.
- I think you would enjoy the rest of my site and I would encourage you to head over to my “The Way I See it” post to read my design philosophy before starting to read.
